Venezuela gehört zu den Ländern mit den hochwertigsten und reinsten Kakaobohnen der Welt. Deswegen reist Chocolatier Willie Hartcourt-Cooze des Öfteren in das südamerikanische Land auf der Suche nach aromatischen Kakao für seine „Single Estate Cacao“-Schokoladen. Auf dem Gut Hacienda Las Trincheras mit seinen magisch-mystischen Ruinen wurde er fündig. Bereits eine Bohne des dort wachsenden Trinitario-Kakaos genügte, um ihn zu überzeugen diesen für seine Gold-Reihe zu verwenden. Dank der schonenden Verarbeitung auf sehr alten, langsam arbeitenden Maschinen in der Willies Cacao Schokoladenmanufaktur gelang es ihm, die nussigen Noten der Kakaobohnen in dieser Ursprungsschokolade festzuhalten.
